Putnam Handyman Services Inc. ("Putnam Handyman," "we," "us") respects your privacy. This policy explains what information we collect when you use putnamhandymanservices.com or do business with us, how we use it, and the choices you have. It is written in plain language on purpose.
Information we collect
Information you give us. When you request an estimate, call, text or email us, or sign a contract, we collect what we need to do the work: your name, phone number, email address, property address, details about the project, and photos you choose to send. If you hire us, we also collect payment information, which is processed by our invoicing provider (Jobber Payments) and never stored on this website.
Information collected automatically. Like most websites, we use Google Analytics to understand how visitors use the site: pages viewed, approximate location (city level), device and browser type, and how you arrived here. Google Analytics uses cookies for this. We do not use this data to identify you personally, and we do not sell it. See how Google uses data from sites that use its services. You can opt out with the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on.
Our estimate form is hosted by Jobber. When you submit the request form, the information goes directly into Jobber, the scheduling and quoting system we use to run the business. Jobber's own privacy policy applies to its handling of that data.
How we use your information

Text messages (SMS)
By providing your mobile phone number to Putnam Handyman Services, you agree to receive text messages from us about your estimate, appointments, invoices and project updates. Message frequency varies by project. Message and data rates may apply. You can opt out at any time by replying STOP to any message, and you can reply HELP or call (845) 350-2998 for assistance. Opting out of text messages does not affect your project; we will simply reach you by phone or email instead. No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes.
What we do not do
We do not sell, rent or trade your personal information. We do not share it with anyone except the service providers who help us run the business (scheduling and invoicing, payment processing, email, contract e-signature, and website analytics and hosting), and then only as needed to do that job. We may disclose information if the law requires it or to protect our legal rights.
Cookies
This site sets cookies through Google Analytics as described above. The request form embedded from Jobber may set its own functional cookies. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings; the site will still work.
How long we keep information
We keep customer and project records for as long as needed to honor warranties, comply with tax, licensing and insurance requirements, and resolve any disputes. Website analytics data is retained according to Google Analytics' default settings.
Security
This site is served over HTTPS. Customer records live in Jobber and our other providers, each of which maintains its own security program. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect your information.
Your choices and rights
You can ask us at any time what information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it where we are not required to keep it. You can unsubscribe from marketing emails using the link in any email, and from text messages by replying STOP. Residents of states with consumer privacy laws (including Connecticut) have the rights described in those laws; to exercise them, contact us using the details below and we will respond within the time the law requires. We do not discriminate against anyone for exercising their privacy rights.
Children
This website is for adults seeking home improvement services. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy we will post the new version here with a new effective date.
