Signs you need a new fence
Fences are built to last, but weather and time win eventually. The most common sign is a lean: posts rot at the ground line and stop holding the fence straight. Rot anywhere in the wood is a sign too; once it sets in it can't be reversed. Missing or discolored panels and gates that no longer latch are others.
Sometimes a new fence isn't about damage at all. A new style changes the whole look of a yard, and it's often the first thing people see from the street.
Benefits of a new fence
Privacy, security and curb appeal. A fence keeps children and pets safely in the yard, keeps deer and strangers out, and gives you a backyard you can actually relax in. It blocks wind, too. Built with quality materials and set properly in the ground, a fence should last 20 years or more.
Our team has installed and repaired fences for homeowners across Putnam and the surrounding counties. We also power wash and stain existing wood fences and railings so they last longer.
Frequently asked questions
How deep do posts go?
Below the frost line, which in our area means 42 inches, set in concrete. That's why our fences don't heave.
Do you need to know where my property line is?
Yes. A survey is the safest guide. We'll help you locate pins and stay inside the line.
Can you match my existing fence for a repair?
Usually. We match style and material as closely as current products allow.
